Our dogs were used for
promotional photographs for the Westminster Challenge which will take place in
February 2007 as a cross party team of Members of the House of Commons including
Nick Clegg take on
the Arctic. Traveling in excess of 400 kilometers by sleddog teams in the Arctic
Circle, these teams will face temperatures as low as -40 and will have to
undertake a number of tasks along the way, including ice fishing and igloo
building. The three principal charities to be supported by the inaugural
challenge are Cancer Research UK,
The Children’s Society and
Crimestoppers. In
addition, each MP will nominate a local charity to benefit from the fundraising
work of The Westminster Challenge.
